Set of playing Cards issued by THE WHITE PASS and YUKON ROUTE,
with a different photo on the face of each card.

Publish date is 1900
Original turn of the century customer souvenir pac-- This is not a reproduction.
Complete set of 52 cards- includes the Joker, a map card, a Table of distances card,
and history and agent contact card. All cards are gold gilded on the edges.
These are the blue background version and harder to find than the red background versions.
Outer storage box is the slip sleeve style with attached sample card and embossed title
lettered in gilt on one side "The White Pass and Yukon Route Souvenir Cards"

Slip sleeves have remnants of the 2 cent tax stamp attached at the time of sale!
Playing cards commemorate the "Scenic Railway" with photographs of the scenic wonders of Alaska
and Canada, the rail lines and bridges, railroad cars, towns and stopovers, majestic mountains, etc.
On the back of the cards is a design in red, white and blue with depiction of a train crossing a bridge through the mountains.
